New paper published in Cell Reports

In our daily lives, stimuli are often predictive of negative or positive events that will occur some time later. We found that enhancing the activity of neurons in the medial prefrontal cortex enables rats to detect the relevant stimulus relationships across temporal intervals and identified a ramping increase of prefrontal theta and beta oscillations during the interval as a potential underlying mechanism. This work was conducted by Julien and Tag with helps from Huaying, Stephanie, and Nathan. The paper is available here.
